Our practice has four full-time physicians, all board certified in oncology, hematology and internal medicine. We also have a full staff of oncology-certified nurses, medical assistants, reception support and business office personnel to serve you. Both offices have certified laboratory personnel on staff as well.
Nurses
Our dedicated and compassionate nursing staff is compromised of oncology-certified nurses, nursing assistants and fast track personnel to give you exceptional care. Our staff members regularly attend oncology seminars and in-services to deliver the most knowledgeable and current therapies to you. Each infusion area has a full time nursing assistant to help monitor your vital signs during your therapy and assist with any other personal needs you may have while receiving your treatment. Recognizing that your time is valuable, we have fast track personnel to expedite quick office visits for injections and similar therapies. We strive to make your visit in the infusion suite as comfortable and pleasant as possible during your time there.
Medical Assistants
Each physician has a medical assistant that work closely with them on a daily basis during clinic hours. You will find these staff members very caring and efficient when checking you in for your visit to see the physician. They are responsible for taking your vital signs, reviewing your list of current medications and obtaining any labs/diagnostics tests that you may have had since your last visit so that your physician has the most current records during his examination. Our medical assistants also assist the physicians when performing procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, suture removal, etc. in the clinic.
Reception Support
Our front desk and medical records staff are quite efficient and very friendly to assist you with scheduling office appointments, obtaining copies of your records for other practitioners, etc. They recognize that you may have many other appointments and activities of daily living and try to accommodate you with flexible scheduling of visits whenever feasible to do so.
Business Office Personnel
Our financial counselors are available to assist you in navigating the insurance claims process or guide you to the appropriate advocacy programs available to assist you through your care.
Laboratory Personnel
Our dedicated laboratory staff is made up of Certified Medical Technologists and Phlebotomists. This certification is through the American Society of Clinical Pathology. This means that they have all passed a rigorous Board of Registry exam and keep current with Continuing Education in their respective field. Everyone in our laboratory has many years of experience collecting blood and we pride ourselves on our ability to perform phlebotomy with minimal discomfort. We hope to make your laboratory experience as pain free and efficient as possible.
